Cofellow Coffee Parlor aims to build community

GODDARD – With great weather and a big crowd, Cofellow Coffee Parlor held its grand opening on Saturday and the Goddard Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting for the new business. Cofellow had a soft opening on May 1.

EHS’ McCarty named BPA national champion

GODDARD – Eisenhower BPA students represented EHS and the state of Kansas at the highest possible levels last week in Anaheim, Calif. There were 6,482 students in attendance, with 21 from Eisenhower.

Gregg is Raider of the Month

Elvis Gregg, a junior at Argonia High School, has been named Raider of the Month for May 2023. The activities/athletics department of Argonia Junior-Senior High School recognizes one student a month who has demonstrated exceptional pride and integrity while competing in athletics or activities.

Haysville will study future water needs

TSnews HAYSVILLE – The Haysville City Council approved a water supply and treatment study at Monday’s monthly meeting. “Water is arguably the most important commodity to a community and its growth,” public works director Tony Martinez told the council.

Garden Plain City Council discusses stormwater, sewer

Sumner County wheat plot tours set

Area farmers, crop producers and everyone with an interest are invited to attend Sumner County wheat plot tours, which will start next Thursday and continue on May 23-24. The first day and stop is next Thursday at the Conway Springs plot, starting at 6 p.m., sponsored by Tom Pauly Seed.
