County could block Steven's incentive request

GODDARD – A requested $1.2 million incentive package that could benefit the developer of Goddard's STAR bond district could be denied by Sedgwick County. The Wichita Eagle reported last week that developer Rodney Steven II and Brandon Steven are looking to transfer ownership of a property to Goddard Housing LLC., a limited liability company with unknown ownership.

Educator Kilmer passes away

GODDARD – Rick Kilmer, age 76, passed away on April 16. Kilmer was a friend to many, a former teacher, coach, and administrator with more than 40 years in his beloved “Goddard America.” Kilmer began his career in the district in 1970 with Goddard Middle School, teaching everything from geography and psychology to physical education.
