The Argonia High School golf team made its debut at the recent Wellington High School Invitational meet. In competition with all Ark Valley League schools plus Ponca City and Blackwell, Okla., Randy Meridith of Argonia emerged as the medalist with a low score of 76. The team of Randy Meridith and Frank Gerberding placed second in the two-man competition. Two persons were injured in a three-car accident that occurred on U.S. 160 highway and Pine Street in Argonia. According to the sheriff’s patrol, the drivers of the vehicles were Dwight A.
