Larry O. Gaddy, age 78, of Haysville, retired parts manager for Kansas Trane Equipment, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 15, at Haysville United Methodist Church.

Thelma Hein Bergkamp Ast passed peacefully at the age of 95 on July 2, 2023, at Memory Haven, Goddard. Rosary was at 10 a.m. and funeral Mass was at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 3, at St Joseph, Ost Catholic Church, with burial at the parish cemetery.
Thelma was born on Feb. 1, 1928, in rural St. Marks to her parents, Aloysius and Emma (Lies) Hein. The oldest of seven children, she attended St Mark Elementary School and Andale High School, where she met her husband, Walter Bergkamp. They were married on June 14, 1949, at St Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Buddy R. Cash, 84, of Conway Springs, died Monday, June 26, 2023 at Spring View Manor in Conway Springs.
Buddy was born June 9, 1939 at Neosho, Mo., to Raymond and Lorena (England) Cash. He grew up in Anderson, Mo., where he attended the local public schools. He graduated from Anderson High School with the class of 1957.
Claire Ellen Lanning was born at home in Oxford, Kan., to Irvyn “Jack” and Daisy (Siemer) Lanning at 10:30 in the evening of Oct. 8, 1934. She weighed in at about 8 pounds.
Dennis “Keith” Parker, 73, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on Nov. 2, 1949, to Charles and Lola (Baker) Parker in Wichita.
He was raised in Argonia before moving to Wichita, but always made his way back to Argonia. He worked various jobs in metal scrapping, repairing lawn mowers, and farming. He enjoyed making windmills, creating artwork from metal scraps, reading western novels and even made his own moonshine.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Karl Parker; and sister, Kay Racker.
Lloyd Erie "Jabo" Cook, Jr., 81, of Augusta, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 29, at Clearwater Cemetery, Clearwater.
Judith "Judy" Eaton of Cheney passed away June 20, 2023 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Eaton; parents, Paul and Lolaward Hobson; and brother, Mike Hobson. She is survived by her sister, Nancy DeWeese of St. George, Kan.; children, Eric (Deanie) Eaton of Wichita, Rusty of Garden Plain, Erin (Scott) Smith of Cheney, and Rachelle (Alan) Scheer of Cheney; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Dorma L. (Smith) Charles, age 82, of Clearwater, retired Bombardier Learjet data analyst, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 25, with family present, 1-3 p.m., and services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 26, both at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater.
Dorma Lee (Smith) Charles was born on Tuesday, Aig. 20, 1940, in Wichita, to her parents, Walter Dorman Smith and Genevieve (Harvey) Smith. She was united in marriage to Frank W. Charles on Feb. 14, 1979 in Wichita.
Kenneth "Ken" L. Lockwood, 64, left his earthly home on June 20, 2023.
He was born June 24, 1958, in DuBois, Penn., to Emery and Mary Lou Slagle Lockwood. He has one brother, Ronald "Ron" Lockwood.
Ken grew up in Brockway, Penn., where he graduated from high school. He was offered a college football scholarship at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan., which would lead him to spending the rest of his life in Kansas. Ken was one of the original starting players of the Wichita Flyers, a semi-pro football team.
Angela M. (Schauf) Hahn, 93, of Garden Plain, retired supervisor of graphic designs and a proud farmers wife passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 in Cheney.
Angela was born to Jake and Mary "Mae" (Koetting) Schauf on Aug. 1, 1929, in Garden Plain. On Dec. 30, 1947, she married Frank Hahn in Garden Plain.
