Robert E. St. Clair, formally of Goddard, passed away peaceful on March 6, 2024, at his home in Clarksville, Tenn., after fighting leukemia for three months.

He was born in Detroit, Mich., on April 8, 1942, to Robert Elegy Webb, Sr., and Emelene Florence Ward. He grew up in many different cities as his step-father was in the military. They lived in 29 Palms, Calif., during his high school years, where he played football, basketball and track. The family then moved to Peck, Kan.

Robert was a professional photographer in Wichita for more than 25 years. He then drove school bus activity trips for Goddard USD 265 for 23 years. He only quit due to back injuries. On May 1, 1982, he married R. Anne St. Clair (nee Phillips) and also welcomed to their family Anne’s daughter, Monica. Eight years later they welcomed a son, Bryce.

Robert was active in many Rod Run Car Clubs, Professional Photography Association, and helped form a Hot Wheels Collectors Club. He enjoyed attending many custom cars shows and owned several custom cars and was very proud to keep all of his cars extremely clean at all times, especially making sure the tires were shining after driving to the shows. His passion after retirement was photographing abandoned barns. He shared many of the more than 5,000 pictures he took on multiple Facebook groups and acquired a huge following.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years; daughter, Monica O’Rourke Bravo Andover; Bryce St. Clair and his wife LeeAnne of Indian Mound, Tenn.; grandsons, Benjamin and Samuel Bravo; step-grandchildren, Oceania, Cole, Walter, Max and Sirius; sister, Lee Ellen St. Clair, and brothers, Louis (Valerie) and Mike (Marcia) St. Clair of Wichita, and Greg (Claudia) St. Clair of Sedona, Ariz.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ron (Barbara) Phillips, Robert Phillips, Rusty (Marcel) Phillips and Sherry Phillips; nephews and nieces, Shane (Shelley) Phillips, Jason (Kristen) Phillips, Kelly (Hayley) Phillips, Jeremy Phillips, Jeffrey (Ashley), Jaclyn St. Clair and Jody (Bill) Blick; and eight great-nephews, nine great-nieces, two great-great-nephews and one great-great-niece.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Ray and Ruth Phillips; brother-in-law, Roy Phillips; and brother, David St Clair.

Memorial service will be April 6 at Tanganyika Wildlife Park, Goddard.

Cremation has occurred and his ashes will be spread at his favorite barn and across the Flint Hills.
