Body CHENEY – After a period of uncertainty in recent years, there's a “lot going on” at Souders Historical Farm Museum west of Cheney these days.

Body CHENEY – This is a busy time of year all around the Cheney community, but May has been especially busy for the local Cheney School District.

Body HAYSVILLE – Nominations are being accepted through May 30 for the Haysville Citizen of the Year. This award is presented annually by the Haysville Park Board and honors one individual for his or her positive impact on the Haysville community.

Body HAYSVILLE – The Haysville Pride Organization and Haysville Police Department conducted a child passenger safety seat check at the Haysville City Building on May 6. From 9 a.m.

Body CLEARWATER – Updates are continuing at Clearwater City Park. A new play surface has been installed around the existing playground equipment at the park.

Body CHENEY – The annual summer reading program kick-off block part at the Cheney Public Library will take place on Saturday. The event will include a carnival, as well as plenty of food and drink.

Body TSnews GODDARD – At its meeting Monday evening, the Goddard City Council voted to deny Goddard Galleria developer Dwayne Dugan's request that the city pay half of the cost of some road improvements in the commercial development. The vote to deny was 4-0.
