Huddleston named Rudd Scholar

GODDARD – Conner Huddleston, a senior at Goddard High School, is one of 14 Kansas high school seniors who will be attending Wichita State University as a Rudd Scholar. Each Rudd Scholar will receive a full-ride scholarship, which includes tuition, fees, on-campus housing, and considerable networking and coaching support along the way.

Kid’s Heart Challenge wraps up

GARDEN PLAIN – Garden Plain students, families and community members helped Garden Plain Elementary School raise $10,000 for the American Heart Association. This year’s top collector was Lincoln Hoover, a first grade student at GPE. Money collected through the Kid’s Heart Challenge goes to education and research, and helps ensure that new medical procedures are continually developed. Several students and their families learned hand-only CPR through Finn’s Mission, a program promoted by the AHA through the Kid’s Heart Challenge.
