8 dead, more hurt in 71-car pileup

Staff report TSnews Eight people died and more were hurt Friday in a major crash involving 71 vehicles on Interstate 70 in Sherman County, located in western Kansas. High winds moving into northwest Kansas from Colorado caused a severe dust storm on Friday, said the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Garden Plain receives $300,000 housing grant

GARDEN PLAIN – On Monday, The City of Garden Plain announced that it has been awarded a $300,000 grant from Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC) in Moderate Income Housing (MIH) funds to assist with the construction of five duplexes in the Renner Multi-Family Housing Development.

But sometimes I find myself in the mood for a casserole— something with a ton of flavorful ingredients, all nestled beneath a layer of gooey, melty cheese.
