Curve seek host families

Body CLEARWATER – The Kansas Curve are seeking host families for the 2025 collegiate summer team. The Curve, after playing home games in Goddard for a few years, moved their collegiate home games to Clearwater in 2024.

Yoder issues highlight carbon monoxide worries

Body TSnews Concerns about carbon monoxide poisoning led to firefighters and EMS personnel going to a business in Yoder, in southeast Reno County, last Thursday. Emergency personnel showed up at Yoder Smoker with concerns that more than a dozen people could have been exposed.

Fair Board holds January meeting

Adult prom set for March

Body GARDEN PLAIN – Adults can relive their youth in March at the Garden Plain Chamber of Commerce adult prom. The event will run 7-11 p.m.

CS awarded grant funds for local improvements

Body TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – Members of the Conway Springs City Council got some good news at their last meeting. The city has been awarded grant funds for awnings on city buildings in the downtown area, and for a new highway welcome sign.

Historical museum offers free Sundays

Body Throughout 2025, the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum is offering free admission on Sundays. The free Sundays have been offered since 2022 thanks to a gift from the Ruth Spooner Stone Charitable Trust and Instrust Bank.
