Body From May 1912 A special meeting of the Argonia Commercial Club was called again last Monday night to talk further regarding the electric light plant and water works system, which, by the way, has gained much favor with the Argonia people.

Goddard City Council scuttles trash talk

Body GODDARD – The Goddard city council, after hearing from just 11 residents during a public comment period, voted at its meeting Monday not to pursue a single hauler trash service. The action comes before the city developed a request for proposals or received bids for the service.

CSHS homecoming to take place Friday

Kansas tornadoes double in 2024

Body Preliminary results indicate 2024 was a more active year for severe weather in Kansas. Scientists at the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, are tallying last year’s severe weather reports.

Studens earn ESU honors

Body Emporia State University congratulates the more than 650 undergraduates named to the university honor roll for the fall 2024 semester. To qualify for the university honor roll, students earned a minimum 3.80 semester grade point average in at least 12 graded hours.

Growth at Cherry Oaks hits new level

Body TSnews CHENEY – Cherry Oaks Golf Course is a very good golf course, and that is an opinion that seems to be held by more and more people. In 2024, the city-owned golf course hit new records in terms of both revenue and rounds.
