TSnews Brothers Eugene and Gerald Zeller received a Conservation Award during the Sedgwick County Conservation District’s annual meeting and banquet on Thursday, Feb. 22.
TSnews GODDARD – All the Whos in Whoville (and Goddard) are invited to see the Eisenhower High School Fine Arts Department’s presentation of the musical, “Seussical.” The show will be staged this Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
GODDARD – Carson Jobe of Goddard has been named to the dean’s honor roll for work in the fall 2023 semester, a distinction given to those who achieve the highest academic standards at University of Central Oklahoma, located in Oklahoma City.
CHENEY – Greta Rosenhagen of Cheney did well as the recent National Western Stock Show in Denver, where she competed with her sophomore team from Fort Scott Community College. Livestock judging took place Jan.
CHENEY – A new program at the local school district, Reality U, got high marks from students who were on hand for the February meeting of the Cheney Chamber of Commerce. Several grade levels are involved, with a focus on financial literacy.
HAYSVILLE – Students in Haysville schools have been getting an up-closeand- personal look at local and state government. The Mayor's Youth Leadership Council (MYLC) has been reconstituted this school year, and students along with Haysville Mayor Russ Kessler have made recent visits to the State Legislature and the Sedgwick County Commission.
HAYSVILLE – At last week's Haysville Chamber of Commerce meeting, members got an update on the organization's new website. Wichita State University student Kara Nixon is building the new website, and members got an early glance at some of the pages.
