Argonia City Council looks at fire department purchases

TSnews ARGONIA – Fire chief Paul Conklin reported that the City of Argonia was awarded $5,550 from the state fire marshal’s office. Conklin said he had requested just more than $11,000 to purchase four new bunker suits for firefighters.

Sheriff investigating Sunday crash

The Sumner County Sheriff ’s Office is investigating a two vehicle crash that occurred Sunday evening. According to the sheriff ’s office, the call came in at 6:14 p.m, and was reported from the 1200 block on K-49 Highway North.
