TSnews CLEARWATER — The Clearwater City Council voted Sept. 9 to amend the city’s 2025 budget, increasing the spending authority for its Department on Aging Fund after the city received a larger-than-expected county grant for senior center operations.

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – Members of the Conway Springs City Council have approved the city's budget for next year, marking a significant cut from the proposed budget that had been considered. The council ended up cutting just over $35,000 from the budget for 2026.

Three Eisenhower High School students have been named as semifinalists in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program, according to a press release from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation last week.

TSnews GODDARD – Two of five candidates for the Goddard City Council attended last week's Our Community Chamber meeting in Goddard, taking questions from local business leaders in a members-only event. Our Community Chamber is the new name for the Goddard Chamber of Commerce, which has expanded to include Maize and west Wichita.

TSnews GODDARD – The Goddard City Council at its meeting Monday approved changes to its subdivision regulations with a nod to attracting even more residential development. The changes dealt with letters of credit from developers and with cost sharing of oversizing infrastructure to serve developments.
