Chiefs lead NFL in Swifties Chiefs Kingdom has the most Taylor Swift fans in the National Football League. Based on Facebook and Instagram accounts that follow both Taylor Swift and an NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs is by far the league leader in “Swifties,” the devoted fans of the nation’s top touring musical artist.

Voting ends Friday for new license plates

Voting has been going on all week for the new Kansas license plate design. At the end of November, Kansas came together in agreement that they strongly disliked the proposed plates that featured black and gold colors.
These are the final designs for Kansas’ new license plates. Residents can vote online through 5 p.m. Friday, and can vote multiple times.

Cheney girls win Classic

The Cheney girls are champions of their own Cardinal Classic basketball tournament. The Cardinals edged Chaparral 49-48 for their first tournament victory since December 2020.

Raiders earn first win of Callaway era

The Argonia Raiders boys basketball team’s 63-47 win over Udall last Saturday in the fifth-place game of the Border Queen Tournament at Caldwell was doubly good for the Raiders. Not only was it Argonia’s first win of the season, it also was Jake Callaway’s first win as head coach of the Raiders.
