Conway Springs, Argonia team up on new baseball, softball teams TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – A new era of sports will launch on Thursday when the Conway Springs-Argonia (CSA) Reds take the field against the Marion Wildcats It will be the first baseball game in school history for both Conway Springs and Argonia, which are teaming up in a new cooperative program. The softball team will play its inaugural doubleheader on Monday at the El Dorado Wildcats.

Cheney beats undefeated Phillipsburg with big comeback

The Cheney girls started Friday’s Class 3A State semifinal game in the worst way, but ended it in the best – with a 58-49 victory over the Phillipsburg Panthers. That victory put the Cardinals into the 3A championship for the second time in three years.

Cardinals tame Tornadoes to open tourney

The Cheney Cardinals girls basketball team opened the 3A State tournament with an impressive 65-48 victory over the Eureka Tornadoes on Wednesday afternoon at the Hutchinson Sports Arena. Eureka drew first blood with a 3-point shot.
