Jerry D. Alloway, 82, retired carpenter, of Conway Springs, died Friday, July 26, 2024 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice at Ascension Via Christi-St. Francis, Wichita, Kansas. Jerry was born June 16, 1942, in Wellington to Lawrence and Mary Jane (Compton) Alloway.

Gerald D. “Denny” Troup, age 67, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024. Visitation will be Saturday, Aug 3, 9 to 11 a.m. with family present, and memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, both at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater.

William Greg O'Neal of Wellington passed away at his home on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the age of 67. Greg was born the son of William and Betty (Sawyer) O'Neal on Oct. 6, 1956 in Wichita. Greg was a man of reliable dedication and inspiring loyalty.

James Duane “JD” Wise, 75, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Friday, July 19, 2024, in Wichita. James was born in Dodge City to Lorran and Ruth (Dunnica) Wise on Aug. 8, 1948. James served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1970.

Lynn A. Redmer, 81, of Garden Plain, Kansas, passed away on July 16, 2024. He was born May 13, 1943, in Trenton, Neb., to Lester and Eleanor Redmer. He married Judy Pollmann on March 26, 1966 in Atwood, Kan.

Steven Frederick Twietmeyer, 69, loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, died Saturday, July 13, 2024. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, July 19, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at Ascension Lutheran Church.

Roberta Ann Cole, 74, passed away at her home in Wichita, on Monday, July 15, 2024. She was born at home, on the farm, to Robert and Marjorie Stokes on May 24, 1950, in Flemington, Mo. She attended the Weaubleau Christian Church as a girl, where she accepted the Lord at a young age.

Samuel Clayton Jackson, 87, passed away on June 29, 2024, surrounded by family in Oklahoma City. Born on May 7 1937, in Wichita, Sam graduated from North High School and attended Wichita State University. At 18, he began working in Wichita for the Missouri Gas Company as a mail clerk.

Brenda Kay Pipkin, 75, of Cheney, died on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center after a battle with cancer. She was born March 5, 1949, in Hardtner, Kan., to Charles and Hazel (Warren) Kaminska.

Memorial services for Margie J. Turrell, 87, of Fairview, Okla., were held on Tuesday, July 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 518 W. Randolph, Enid, Okla., with the Rev. Dr. John Toles officiating. A viewing was held from 4 to 8 p.m.
