Students receive Masonic scholarships

The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with its 170 statewide Masonic lodges and Kansas Masons to award 212 scholarships to students across the state, totaling more than $220,000.

The gravel parking lot for the park has been installed, and bids are out to complete the process of surrounding the property with a split rail fence (except on the south side, which has a line of trees).

Haysville Memories

7 Years Ago Completion of the new Haysville Activity Center was originally slated for the end of April, but delays caused by weather and changes to the project pushed that date back several weeks. Haysville Recreation Director Georgie Carter said Tuesday that she is hopeful construction crews will turn the building over to her staff sometime in the first full week of June, setting the stage for a mid-June grand opening.

Blood drive is Monday

CHENEY – A community blood drive will take place on Monday in Cheney, and donors are needed. The blood drive will run 1-6 p.m.
