Three girls on a bicycle were injured when a car struck them last Wednesday, July 12, at about 5:18 p.m. The crash occurred in the 1400 block of East Kay, on the north side of the Peachwood Manor mobile home park. According to Haysville police chief Jeff Whitfield, an eight-yearold girl who was standing on pegs on the front of the bike was thrown and injured when the crash occurred. The other two girls, ages 10 and 2, received minor injuries and did not require medical transportation. The 8-year-old girl's injuries were serious enough to require transportation to a hospital, and she was reportedly in critical but stable condition the following morning.

Ingredients 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup flour 1 cup quick oats 1 heaping teaspoon cinnamon 21 ounces cherry pie filling 1 teaspoon almond extract Directions Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, flour, oats and cinnamon until everything is well incorporated and the mixture looks like pea-sized crumbs.
