HAYSVILLE – A newly- completed sidewalk now offers a safe walking and biking path from the main part of Haysville to the Plagens-Carpenter Ball Fields, located east of the intersection of Main Street and 63rd Street South.

TSnews Class 3A schools or smaller began play earlier this week in a new postseason format when KSHSAA debuted a regional round. In the new format, Classes 3A, 2A, 1A Division I and 1A Division II are divided into eastern and western divisions.

TSnews HAYSVILLE – The Haysville City Council at its Oct. 15 meeting denied a request for a conditional use permit from a trucking company seeking to establish a truck storage yard in the city.

TSnews GODDARD – The Goddard City Council dealt with several agenda items at Monday’s meeting that are related to the city’s booming residential development. Such growth will affect public amenities and their upkeep.

Folks come together for Haysville Fall Festival

The police departments in Cheney and Haysville, and the Sedgwick County Sheriff 's Department, are among the many law enforcement organizations taking part in Saturday's Drug Enforcement Agency's National Take Back Day. The event is held each April and October.

SUMNER COUNTY – Evergy, Inc., announced on Monday that it will invest in two new 705 megawatt (MW) combined- cycle natural gas plants that will be built in Kansas. The plants are expected to begin operating in 2029 and 2030.
