A data center has been proposed for Wellington in Sumner County, according to the Wellington Daily News. A presentation by Cormor and Data Shelter was given to the Wellington City Council.
The Kansas Rural Center is hosting an online information session about how the federal H-2A program can help with labor. Three Kansas farmers will share their experiences of using H-2A labor as part of their operations.

GODDARD – The City of Goddard is one of 32 cities, schools and school districts to be awarded waste tire product grants from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE). Goddard will receive two grants totaling $21,200.
Members of Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc., will receive ballots by mail in late March to vote for trustees for the third time in cooperative history. HAYSVILLE – The Campus High School culinary team placed in Kansas at the Kansas ProStart Invitational. Around 100 students representing high schools from across the state demonstrated their mastery of restaurant leadership skills – culinary and management – in the fastpaced event.
SEDGWICK COUNTY – A man from Mount Hope died last week in a single-vehicle crash in western Sedgwick County. Stephen Bradley Farmer, 60, perished in a crash near 21st Street North and 247th Street West, which is north of the Goddard and Garden Plain area.
GARDEN PLAIN – During its meeting March 4, the Garden Plain City Council set a 6 p.m. April 9 public hearing that will start the process of requesting an expanded Urban Area of Influence (UAI) for the city.
SEDGWICK COUNTY – The death of Ian Alexander Shelton, whose body was recovered from Lake Afton earlier this year, has been ruled an accident. That is the determination from the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center, which filed its final autopsy report on March 19 in Sedgwick County District Court.
