4-Her makes rare fossil discovery

Body CLEARWATER – From leadership and public speaking to scientific discovery, 4-H continues to open doors for young people in ways few programs can. For one Sedgwick County 4-H member, a geology project turned into an unforgettable prehistoric adventure.

Fireworks sales extended in Haysville

Body TSnews HAYSVILLE – This year’s July 4 celebrations likely will be special. The nation’s 250th anniversary prompted action Monday by the Haysville City Council regarding the sale and discharge of fireworks for that holiday.

K-State hands out alumni scholarships

Body Seventy-four Wichita area students have been awarded scholarships to Kansas State University totaling $42,000. Sixty-six of them received K-State Alumni Club scholarships.
