As I promised, I’m back in this week’s column with the second recipe in my raspberry series. After my triumph over Joey and his usual dislike of raspberries with last week’s recipe, I was feeling pretty confident about the others I picked out to try on him.

Following are next week’s menus for Friendship Meals and Meals on Wheels in both Sedgwick County and Sumner County. A change was made recently, and there are now different menus for Sedgwick County and Sumner County.

TSnews GODDARD – The Goddard City Council has approved a revised plan for increasing water rates. The action was taken during Monday’s city council meeting.

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – A nutritional incentive program aimed at low-income families will make its Kansas debut at Hired Man’s Grocery and Grill in Conway Springs. The program is expanding into its 21st state.

On behalf of the teachers and staff at Conway Springs High School, I would like to welcome each student back for the 2024-2025 school year. I hope students were able to enjoy their time off these past few months.

Welcome back to another school year! The start of school will be Thursday, Aug. 22. It is always an exciting time for everyone and this year is no different. There will be new opportunities, friends, and memories to be made. We will have one new staff member this year. Mrs.
