HAYSVILLE – The Haysville Chamber of Commerce has named DeAnn Konkel as its new director. Konkel had a 20-year tenure at the Sedgwick County Division of Public Safety and Emergency Management, and held significant roles including readiness and response coordinator for the South Central Kansas Health Care Coalition, and executive director of the Haysville Area Disaster Recovery.

Goddard lowers possible mill levy increase

TSnews GODDARD – The City of Goddard will consider increasing the mill levy by as many as 6 mills, a smaller increase than the 10-mill increase that was under consideration. A proposed budget that could increase the city's mill levy to 37.265 mills was approved at Monday night's city council meeting.
