TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – City Council members heard updates from the Planning and Zoning commission last week, including the need to get started this year on an update of the city's comprehensive plan. Planning and zoning members had a good training session recently, which included a look at documents that are in need of updating.

TSnews A proposed amendment to the Kansas Constitution that would cap increases to appraised property values has some local politicians worried that there could be unintended results that would create major holes in county and city budgets. Last month, a Senate committee endorsed a proposed constitutional amendment that would cap annual increases to appraised property values at 3 percent.
TSnews Starting this week, local senior centers in Sedgwick County are seeing a return of hot meals for their congregate – or, in-person – meals. The Central Plains Area Agency on Aging (CPAAA) on Agency changed meal providers at the start of the year, moving to a company called Trio after years of working with Everfull.
