A Campus High School graduate has been named KSN's new chief meteorologist, filling the position of Dave Freeman, her high school mentor. Lisa Teachman, a CHS graduate of 1998, started her meteorology career during her junior year of high school, sending KSN a letter requesting an internship. When Teachman was brought on by Dave Freeman, she began a six-year internship with the station, which she calls a second family.

On evenings when there isn’t much on television and we can’t decide on something to stream from the myriad of services we subscribe to, Joey and I will often find ourselves scrolling through our respective social media feeds, sending each other funny or interesting videos from our spots across the couch from one another.

Add the blackberries to a blender or food processor and process until they are smooth. Pour the berries into a fine-mesh sieve over a small saucepan, and stir them around, pressing the mixture to get as much out of the berries and into the pan as you can.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line one and one-half regular-sized muffin tins with cupcake liners.

I have always been a sucker for poppy seeds. If there is a tray of pastries that includes poppy seed bread or muffins, that is what’s going on my plate.
