I was remarking to some friends the other day about how Joey and I are complete opposites when it comes to socializing. As an extroverted social butterfly, Joey draws his energy from being around people and generally loves a crowd.

ARGONIA – The Argonia City Council took on a new look on Monday night. Two longtime members, Bob Randall and Don Phillips, both submitted their resignations since the council last met a month ago.

HAYSVILLE – The Metropolitan Ballet will give a free performance of “Aurora's Wedding” this Thursday at Haysville's Riggs Park band shell, 706 Sarah Lane. The show begins at 7 p.m., and is for the whole family.

The community is right in the middle of the bumper wheat harvest that points toward putting Kansas over the 3-million bushel mark this season. The weather has been perfect for the past week to promote combining the big crop- in fact so favorable that the elevators and railroads have been unable to handle it.
