Cheney Chamber elects new officers, board

TSnews CHENEY – With the start of a new year, member of the Cheney Chamber of Commerce gathered to elect new officers and board members at their January meeting. The Cheney Chamber meets monthly at D'Mario's Pizza for their noon luncheon meetings.

It must have been sometime when I was in middle school that a family acquaintance gifted us with a basket of homemade goodies during the holidays. Most of the items were run-of-the-mill, well-done treats, but there was one none of us could identify initially.
These balls can be made with rum or bourbon and feature cocoa, vanilla and chopped nuts, along with a hint of alcohol.

Norton on Mac honor roll

GODDARD – Adysen Norton of Goddard has been named to the honor roll for the fall semester at McPherson College. Honor roll students must be enrolled full-time and earn a grade-point average of 3.55 or higher.

Whitney on CCCC honor roll

CLEARWATER – Brecken Whitney of Clearwater has been named to the fall 2024 honor roll at Cloud County Community College. Students on the honor roll have earned a gradepoint average of 3.66 to 3.899.

Cheney Fire receives equipment grant

CHENEY – The Cheney Volunteer Fire Department in Cheney was one of 24 departments in Kansas that were awarded funding through the Kansas Volunteer Firefighter Grant (KVFG) Program, administered by the Kansas State Fire Marshal (KSFM).
