Body CHENEY – The Cheney Volunteer Fire Department in Cheney was one of 24 departments in Kansas that were awarded funding through the Kansas Volunteer Firefighter Grant (KVFG) Program, administered by the Kansas State Fire Marshal (KSFM).

Body CONWAY SPRINGS – Two students have been named as the January artists of the month at Conway Springs High School. Amelia Meyers, a junior and Art 2 student, was selected for her mixed media creation, “Face.” It is on display at the Conway Springs city office.

Library to host Kansas Day potluck

Body HAYSVILLE – Celebrate Kansas Day with a free Kansas Day potluck luncheon at the Haysville Community Library. The luncheon will begin at noon this Saturday in the library's Community Room.

Body Construction will soon begin on a public-use commercial kitchen in the Caldwell Workspace ,thanks to a grant from K-State 105 given to the Sumner County Economic Development (SCED) as part of the Border Queen Harvest Hub (BQHH).

Body The American Legion Boys State of Kansas is accepting applications for its 2025 session. The event is set to be held June 1-7 at Kansas State University in Manhattan. This will be the program’s 33rd consecutive session at KSU and 87th overall.
