Cheney High joins ‘SAFE’ program

Body Cheney High School has announced it has joined Seatbelts Are For Everyone (SAFE) for the 2024-25 school year. SAFE (Seatbelts Are For Everyone) is a free, student-led program for high school students focusing on peer-topeer promotion of traffic safety.

Body GODDARD – The Dam Jam Music Festival won’t be in Goddard this summer. The festival announced on Monday that it is moving to the Winfield Fairgrounds and will hold the festival one week earlier on the calendar, on July 18-19.

KS lawmakers to debate property taxes

Body Property tax cuts and access to care for young, transgender people are likely to be top issues in the Kansas Statehouse this year. Top Kansas Republicans said they’ll look at amending the state constitution to put a cap on appraised values used to determine property taxes.
