Students shine in stock market game

TSnews CHENEY – A pair of Cheney students performed well in the stock market game, an activity that local students participate in each spring. Quinnlan Dowell, a seventh grader at Cheney Middle School, and Hannah Haar, a fifth grade student at Cheney Elementary School, both were state winners in the spring.

Campus High adds unified bowling

TSnews HAYSVILLE – There is a new sports team this year at Campus High School bowling. Unified bowling is a sport that is sanctioned by the Kansas State High School Activities Association, which governs most other high school sports in Kansas along with activities like debate, forensics and vocal and band competitions.

Library friends to stage dinner theater

HAYSVILLE – The Friends of the Haysville Community Library will stage the play “Fisher Seeks Connection; Does Artie Hook a Date?” next weekend. This is an original comedy mystery play by the Friends of the Library Players.

'Emma!' coming to CHS stage

CLEARWATER – “Emma! A Pop Musical” is getting ready for an audience this weekend on the Clearwater High School stage. This is a modern remake of the classic Jane Austen novel about a matchmaker who can’t seem to find a match for herself.
