Body TSnews CLEARWATER – Theater students at Clearwater High School will stage the play “Steel Magnolias” this weekend. Show times are 7 p.m.

Body TSnews HAYSVILLE – Campus High School theater students will stage the play “Rough Magic” by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa this weekend. Shows will be at 7 p.m.

Body More than 250 high school students attended the 35th annual Sterling College Theatre Workshop last week. The event included two workshop sessions and a special matinee performance of the play “Baskerville.” Students from 18 schools from Lawrence to Liberal attended.

Body GARDEN PLAIN – The City of Garden Plain is holding a design contest to create a city flag/logo. The winning design will be a brand that serves a symbol for the community, representing the past, present and future.

Body Extension Seed tape is a method of preparing seeds for planting that reduces the amount of time spent bending over the ground. Kansas State University horticulture expert Cynthia Domenghini said seed tape makes it easier to handle small seeds and get proper seed spacing.

Body ARGONIA – This Saturday and Sunday, college rocketry teams from across the country will converge in a field south of Argonia to compete for the annual Argonia Cup, one of the events hosted by the KLOUDBusters rocketry group. The Tripoli Rocketry Association, Inc.

Body GODDARD – The annual Neighbors United event will take place on April 27, and both volunteers and projects are needed. This annual event brings community members, organizations, and businesses together for a day of volunteering.

Body HAYSVILLE – Campus High School will host its annual Fine Arts Expo this Thursday and Friday. The event features works and performances by artists of all kinds from across Haysville Public Schools, not just the high school.

Body TSnews CHENEY – Cheney city council members discussed incorporating roadways near the city during last Thursday's monthly council meeting.

Body GODDARD – Karaline Scott, a senior a Goddard High Schools, has been named as the a recipient of two different major scholarships from Wichita State University. Scott was one of three students named as 2024 recipients of the Harry Gore Memorial Scholarship.
