Cheney schools earn State recognition

CHENEY – During a recent visit to Cheney, Kansas Commissioner of Education Randy Watson honored the Cheney School District and its leadership team. Cheney was one of six districts statewide to be given the Commissioner's Award with Highest Distinction.

Haysville plans special election for sales tax

TSnews HAYSVILLE – Haysville voters will get a second chance this spring to decide whether the city should continue to levy a 1 percent sales tax, after discussion at Monday’s city council meeting. Renewal of the tax lost by the thinnest of margins on the November 2023 general election ballot, with 472 votes for the tax and 473 votes against it.

7 Years Ago For the second time in less than a month, Campus High School administrators sent emails and recorded phone messages to parents after investigating a possible threat. “Campus High School administrators were notified the evening on January 5 of a possible threat on January 6,” the message said.
