4-Hers decorate outside Springview Manor

To start its Christmas party, the Conway Springs 4-H Club gathered at Spring View Manor on Dec. 2, where they decorated outside with the wooden trees they made previously at a project night, candy canes, and other decorations. The club did this to spread holiday cheer, to give the residents something nice to look at, and to make the residents feel like people care about them.

Cheney wins statewide vocabular bowl

CHENEY – The students at Cheney Middle School are the Kansas champions of the statewide vocabular bowl for the fall 2023 season. Principal Ron Orsak explained that all 176 students in the building, covering grades 6-8, participated in the online competition.

Haysville awarded Cost Share Grant

HAYSVILLE – The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) has awarded the City of Haysville the cost share grant for the South Broadway Pedestrian Pathway Project. The announcement came from Gov. Laura Kelly’s office on Nov. 28.
