The Sedgwick County Treasurer’s Office has announced the opening of two additional satellite locations for residents to complete renewals, title work and other vehicle services. The two new satellite offices are at Haysville City Hall, 200 W.

Changes coming to district football assignments

TSnews Every other October, there is football news that every smaller team in Kansas anticipates regardless of how the current season is going – the announcement of football districts for the next two seasons. The Kansas State High School Activities Association announced the new districts for the 2026 and 2027 seasons, impacting teams in Classes 3A, 2A and 1A, as well as the 8-player and 6-player divisions.

Wildlife park founder receives lifetime award

GODDARD – The Zoological Association of America (ZAA) has awarded Jim Fouts, founder of Tanganyika Wildlife Park, its lifetime achievement award, recognizing a career that has transformed the zoological profession and advanced the conservation of rare and endangered species around the world.

Grants available for upperlevel housing on Main streets

The State of Kansas is offering $250,000 for the Residential Opportunities On Main Street (ROOMS) grant program, to support new upper-floor housing in commercial buildings. The buildings must be in Designated Kansas Main Street Communities.

CONWAY SPRINGS – Students have earned honors for the first nine weeks of the school year at Conway Springs Middle School. Students were named either to the principal's honor roll for top grade-point averages, or they received honorable mention.

Hartley named Haysville Citizen of the Year

TSnews HAYSVILLE – Saying that Annette Hartley loves to serve others might just be a big understatement. Whether it's decorating the Haysville Veterans Memorial and the town itself to bring recognition to those who have served in the Armed Forces, helping with Meals on Wheels or even helping collect toys to give to children in need at Christmastime, Hartley has made a reputation for giving back to others.
