Cardinals take fourth at State

Body TSnews The Cheney Cardinals volleyball team wrapped up its third trip to the State semifinals in as many years last Saturday by taking fourth at the Class 3A State tournament in Hutchinson.

Indians just miss semis at 4A State tournament

Body TSnews The Clearwater Indians volleyball team finished a win shy of advancing out of pool play at the Class 4A State tournament last Friday at the Hutchinson Sports Arena, but the Indians did beat the defending – and eventual – State champion along the way.

Cheney girls place fourth at 3A State XC

Body TSnews The Cheney girls cross country team placed fourth at Saturday’s Class 3A State cross country meet, held along with the 5A and 6A races at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence. The Cardinals scored 149 points.

Tigers overcome slow start for big win over Trojans

Body TSnews The Andover Trojans sprung a surprise on the Eisenhower Tigers during last Friday’s Class 5A football playoff game in Goddard. The Trojans came out in entirely different offenses and defenses, said Eisenhwoer head coach Darrin Fisher.

Colts wrap soccer season

Body The Campus Colts boys soccer team concluded its season with a first-round regional defeat at Washburn Rural on Tuesday, Oct. 24, losing 10-0.

Conway Springs makes quick work of Stanton County

Body TSnews It took very little time in last Friday’s Class 1A football playoff game to see that the Conway Springs Cardinals were the better team. The host Cardinals scored 28 points and forced two turnovers in the first quarter alone.
