Colts drop close games ahead of regional opener

Body TSnews The Campus Colts girls soccer team closed out its regular season with a pair of hard-fought losses, but head coach Casey Reece remains proud of how his team is competing heading into regional play.

Colts head to State

Body Two swimmers from the Campus Colts cooperative swimming program will compete this week at the State swimming tournaments in Topeka. Kimberlyn Grim, a State returner, will compete in the Class 5-1A State tournament in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke.

Body TSnews The Cheney Cardinals baseball team got dominant performances at the plate and on the mound to roll past the Conway Springs-Argonia Reds 13-0 in the Class 3A regional opener last Thursday at Cheney.

Cheney Cardinals win CPL track titles

Body TSnews The Cheney Cardinals boys and girls track teams recorded a clean sweep at last Thursday’s Central Plains League track meet at Belle Plaine as they won the team titles in both divisions.

Cardinals take 2nd at State tennis

Body Tigers’ King takes 5th in singles TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals boys tennis team finished second as a team at the Class 3-1A State Tournament, held May 16 and 17 in Topeka. It was the team’s first State trophy since 2014, when the Cardinals won a State championship.

Body TSnews The Cheney Cardinals turned in a strong performance at Monday’s Class 3A regional boys golf tournament at Kingman to take home a regional title and punch their tickets to State.

CSHS wins at Chaparral, Argonia fourth

Body The Conway Springs Cardinals girls track and field team won its first team title this season, flying over the rest of the competition in the seven- team field at Chaparral High School. The Cardinals scored 191 points, a full 100 points over runner-up Chaparral.
