Temperatures topped 90 degrees last week on Thursday, giving people in south-central Kansas an early taste of summer. The official high in Wichita at Eisenhower National Airport was 93 degrees. The old record for high temperature on March 26 was set in 1918.
TSnews CLEARWATER – The Clearwater City Council voted March 24 to accept a $100,000 offer from Hammers LLC on a 9.353-acre parcel of cityowned land near 135th Street and Diagonal Road, adding conditions aimed at ensuring the property is developed. The offer amounts to roughly $10,691 per acre – approximately what the city originally paid for the land.
