CS discusses grant funds for added local improvements

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – The City of Conway Springs is well on its way to completing local projects funded from a TEFFI/ Seed grant awarded a year ago, and now the City Council is looking at what to do with some leftover funds from that grant. The good news at last week's council meeting was that the projects targeted for the grant funding – more than $13,000 total – are all nearing completion.

Three local players invited to Shrine Bowl

The Kansas Shrine Bowl has announced the 88 players who have received invitations to play in the 53rd Kansas Shrine Bowl on Saturday, June 27, at Welch Stadium on the campus of Emporia State University in Emporia.

Farm Bureau to honor family farm heritage

Kansas Farm Bureau (KFB) is continuing in 2026 its recognition for “Sesquicentennial Farms” in conjunction with its annual “Century Farm” program. The Century Farm program honors Farm Bureau members who own farms of at least 80 acres within the same family for 100 years or more. The Sesquicentennial Farm recognition goes to farms in the same family for at least 150 years.

Choirs offer singing valentines

CLEARWATER – The Blue Notes and Bel Canto choirs at Clearwater High School are once again offering singing valentines. The cost is $10, which includes a song and cookies.
