TSnews HAYSVILLE – Residents of Haysville have a new option for child care – and in a familiar setting. Child Start had its ribbon cutting last Thursday and opened for business on Tuesday of this week at 984 E.

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – The City of Conway Springs is well on its way to completing local projects funded from a TEFFI/ Seed grant awarded a year ago, and now the City Council is looking at what to do with some leftover funds from that grant. The good news at last week's council meeting was that the projects targeted for the grant funding – more than $13,000 total – are all nearing completion.

The Kansas Shrine Bowl has announced the 88 players who have received invitations to play in the 53rd Kansas Shrine Bowl on Saturday, June 27, at Welch Stadium on the campus of Emporia State University in Emporia.

Kansas Farm Bureau (KFB) is continuing in 2026 its recognition for “Sesquicentennial Farms” in conjunction with its annual “Century Farm” program. The Century Farm program honors Farm Bureau members who own farms of at least 80 acres within the same family for 100 years or more. The Sesquicentennial Farm recognition goes to farms in the same family for at least 150 years.

HAYSVILLE – The Friends of the Haysville Community Library will host a free potluck this Saturday from 12 to 2 p.m. to celebrate Kansas Day.

CLEARWATER – The Blue Notes and Bel Canto choirs at Clearwater High School are once again offering singing valentines. The cost is $10, which includes a song and cookies.

CHENEY – Cheney Middle School has released its list of honor roll students for the first semester of the current school year. Students, based on grade-point average, were included on the principal's honor roll, honor roll or were named honorable mention.

CHENEY – Honor roll students at Cheney High School have been named for the first semester of the 2025-26 school year. Students are listed as being on the principal's honor roll, honor roll or honorable mention, based on gradepoint average.

TSnews GODDARD – Pam Dayhuff loves volunteering and how rewarding she finds it – so getting some well-earned recognition for doing so is a nice bonus. Dayhuff recently was named the City of Goddard’s 2025 Volunteer of the Year for her efforts and was recognized for her hard work at the Jan.

Fort Hays State University recognized approximately 981 graduates during its fall 2025 commencement ceremonies on Dec. 12-13, at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays.
