GODDARD – Guests staying at Goddard hotels will soon start paying a higher transient guest tax, thanks to action taken at Monday’s Goddard City Council meeting. The council approved a charter ordinance establishing a new transient guest tax (TGT) rate of 9 percent.

CHENEY – Sports are big in America, and Cheney Physical Therapy is betting big on sports and fitness with a new facility that opened this summer on south Main Street. The new facility had a soft opening in late May and an official opening in mid-June.

HAYSVILLE – With summer vacation nearly over and classes starting soon, Haysville Public Schools is holding open houses next week. Middle school open houses for sixth grade only will be on Monday.
