CONWAY SPRINGS – Conway Springs High School drama students will present “Frankenstein Slept Here,” a show by Tim Kelly, a prolific writer of high school shows. The curtain will go up at 7 p.m.

SUMNER COUNTY – The 30th Judicial District Nominating Commission is seeking nominations to fill a district judge vacancy. Although the principal office for the position will likely be Sumner County, the district judge filling this position may maintain residency in any of the 30th Judicial District counties.

American Legion events celebrate veterans

HAYSVILLE – At its Oct. 15 meeting, the Haysville City Council approved the re-appointment of several individuals to various community boards.

CONWAY SPRINGS – The holidays are nearly here, and the Angel Tree in Conway Springs is seeking help. The Angel Tree program helps struggling families give their children clothing and toys for Christmas.

The Cold Weather Rule, designed to help Kansans who are behind on their utility payments avoid disconnection during the winter months, began Nov. 1 and will remain in effect through March 31.

Haysville marks Veterans Day

GARDEN PLAIN – One hundred K-State legacies have been recognized with the K-State Alumni Association’s Legacy Scholarship. The $2,000 scholarships were awarded to 100 students who are children and grandchildren of K-State alumni for the 2024-25 academic year.

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – During Conway Springs Fall Fest, the new Conway Springs High School Outdoor Wildlife Site (OWLS) was dedicated. The dedication marked the beginning a new educational tool and community space, but also served as an ending point for many months of planning and work.
