CONWAY SPRINGS – The second annual Conway Springs Fall Fest medallion hunt is next week, with the first clue posted on Monday. Once posted, the race is on to see who can be the best clue finder.
TSnews CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Senior Center will see an increase in funding in 2025. Next year’s budget from Sedgwick County will increase from $18,000 to $35,000.

CHENEY – Cody Trask, a Cheney resident who fell while working on a tree removal job, has died from his injuries. Trask was hurt at a job in northern Sedgwick County on Aug.
HAYSVILLE – A pair of events will bring people to Haysville this weekend. On Saturday, the Derby-Haysville American Legion Cruisers Chapter 408 will host a cruise-in car show at the Historic Vickers Gas Station, located at 140 N.
GARDEN PLAIN - During its meeting Sept. 4, the Garden Plain City Council voted to accept a $1.635 federal grant for the construction of an aquatic facility in City Park. The pool will be built on the north end of city park, east of the pickleball courts, and construction is expected to take 18 to 24 months. See related story, Page A1.
