Angels needed for annual Angel Tree

CONWAY SPRINGS – The holidays are nearly here, and the Angel Tree in Conway Springs is seeking help. The Angel Tree program helps struggling families give their children clothing and toys for Christmas.

Nelson receives legacy scholarship from Kansas State

GARDEN PLAIN – One hundred K-State legacies have been recognized with the K-State Alumni Association’s Legacy Scholarship. The $2,000 scholarships were awarded to 100 students who are children and grandchildren of K-State alumni for the 2024-25 academic year.

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – During Conway Springs Fall Fest, the new Conway Springs High School Outdoor Wildlife Site (OWLS) was dedicated. The dedication marked the beginning a new educational tool and community space, but also served as an ending point for many months of planning and work.

GODDARD – Next Thursday, the Goddard Puppet Ladies will bring to life the book “The Little Red Hen.” The show is targeted to children ages 2-6. The show is free but advance registration is required.

Goddard hears key roadway upgrade ideas

TSnews GODDARD – The Goddard City Council at its meeting Monday began in earnest to discuss a 10year capital plan for major roadway improvements. Preliminary concepts were prepared by Transystems, which also designed the R-cut project on US-54.
