CHENEY – The Cheney Chamber of Commerce got an update on its veterans banners and yard signs, and the project is going well. Chamber members got an update on the banner project at their June meeting last week.
The Clearwater Public Library soon will be able to make its facility more accessible and inclusive to those with disabilities. The library recently received a $3,333 grant for the purpose of improving accessibility and inclusivity from Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities.
Last year, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) announced that the Kansas Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (KSFMNP) would increase the value of coupons it gives to seniors from $35 to $50. As a result, more than 6,000 seniors participated in the program, and Kansas farmers redeemed $211,264 worth of benefits.
