ARGONIA – The Argonia City Council had a light agenda when it held its monthly meeting on June 3. The River Park camp hosts requested reimbursement for the purchase of two picnic tables.
Newman University has released its 2024 spring dean’s list. A total of 413 undergraduate students achieved the qualifications required, completing at least 12 credit hours and achieving a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

GARDEN PLAIN – The Garden Plain Elementary Home School Organization (HSO) and the Garden Plain Middle School Football Club are teaming up to host a fireworks stand for the first time. Volunteers are needed to help run it.

Spread the entire package of frozen dough evenly over the bottom and spray them with more cooking spray.
TSnews Candace Wolke has put in 21 years of dedicated banking work in the same building in Conway Springs – and now, she has received some impressive national recognition for her efforts. Wolke recently was named to the 40 Under 40: 2024’s Community Bank Leaders list by Independent Banker, a national banking publication by the Independent Community Bankers of America.
