GODDARD – Dr. Justin Henry, the longtime superintendent for Goddard Public Schools, has been named as one of three finalists for the same position at the Auburn-Washburn School District (USD 437).

SUMNER COUNTY – As part of the America 250 celebration, the Sumner County Historical and Genealogical Society, Wellington, will host the “The Temple of Democracy' about the Capitol of the United States, a Zoom presentation by 1964 Wellington High School graduate, Steve Livengood, public historian and former chief guide for the U. S. Capitol Historical Society in Washington, D.C.

HAYSVILLE – Applications are now being accepted for the Haysville Chamber of Commerce’s scholarship competition. Each year, the Chamber awards scholarships to deserving local students who demonstrate leadership, community involvement, and a commitment to continuing their education.

GODDARD – The Eisenhower High School Theatre Department will present “Cereal Killers” this week, with shows at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

CLEARWATER – GraceMed Clearwater Health Clinic has announced that it has received a $19,000 grant from the Mikesell Family Foundation, in partnership with Legacy Regional Community Foundation, to enhance accessibility and security at the Clearwater clinic location.

HAYSVILLE – Campus High School drama students will perform “Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Event Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic” this weekend. This 2015 original comedy is by New Yorkbased playwright Matt Cox, and is a parody of the “Harry Potter” book series.
