Leap Year typically takes place every four years. The process of adding a day to the calendar every four years was designed to realign the clock and calendar more closely with how long it takes the Earth to rotate around the sun, which is slightly longer than the 365 days attributed to a year.

New business features same local operators

HAYSVILLE – The introduction of the new Barista Blends in Haysville did not take long. The new business opened in the same building as the old Buffalo Brew Coffee Company, almost immediately after Buffalo Brew's last day in business.

CHENEY – A World Day of Prayer event is set for Friday, March 1, at Trinity United Christian Church in Cheney. The church is located at 416 N. Washington, and any women in the area are invited to come at 9:30 a.m.

CS theater to stage 'Barbecuing Hamlet'

CONWAY SPRINGS – The Conway Springs Community Theatre will give three performances this weekend of the show “Barbecuing Hamlet.” The theater will be performing in a new-to-them venue, as they stage the show at the Viola Community Hall, just a few minutes north of Conway Springs.
