TSnews COLON, PANAMA – Last month I completed a major adventure that I have always wanted to cross off my “bucket list.” That adventure was traversing the Panama Canal. I accomplished that goal as Kim and I and another couple visited Central and South America on a holiday cruise.

TSnews CHENEY – Two new public art projects that were completed late in 2023 came to fruition because of the efforts of local residents. In October, a new public mural on the north side of Farm Supply was completed by Cheney artist Kelly Caswell.

HAYSVILLE – Police in Haysville reported that the bodies of two subjects were found on Tuesday morning. Officers went to house at 320 in Haysville on a welfare check and forced entry upon arrival. That is when they discovered the subjects. Additional information was provided on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

TSnews CHENEY – The Cheney City Council worked through a short agenda of routine business during its January meeting, held last Thursday. Council members reapproved the city's long running sidewalk installation and replacement program.

TSnews CLEARWATER – During their meeting Jan. 9, members of the Clearwater City Council discussed issues of maintenance, funding and field usage at the Chisholm Trail Sports Complex.

5 Years Ago Four pet chickens are adding to the quality of life for residents of Haysville’s nursing home, Diversicare. The chickens live in Diversicare’s courtyard.
