Clearwater water customers can get $10 for filling out survey

CLEARWATER - The city of Clearwater is offering a $10 credit to water customers who fill out surveys about the lines that service them on the customer sides of their meters.

Aging pipes in communities such as Flint, Michigan, have exposed people to unsafe levels of lead, spurring a federal mandate that water suppliers identify all materials used in the construction of water systems.

Conway Springs shop teacher awarded grant

CONWAY SPRINGS - Zack Cooper, a teacher at Conway Springs High School (CSHS), was recently awarded a grant through the All-Star Scholars Fund funded by the Kansas Star Casino. “For the grant I was looking to update and replace some of the shop equipment that we have,” said Cooper, the shop and agriculture teacher at CSHS.
