Students accepted into undergrad program

CLEARWATER -Two Baker University students from Clearwater have been accepted into a prestigious University of Kansas School of Medicine program. Juniors Richard Wolf and Gracie Childs have been accepted into KU School of Medicine’s Scholars in Rural Health program.

Ag mechanic students building shed

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGSThe ag mechanics class at Conway Springs High School is building a shed for the school’s Outdoor Wildlife Learning (OWL) location. When finished the shed will be 12 feet x 16 feet, and it will be used for the OWL location, also currently under construction.

Races draw a crowd in Argonia

The annual Argonia Car Show and Street Races drew a large crowd, drawn by the excitement as well as good weather. Although I have never joined an official weight loss program—tracking points, writing down my calorie counts and eating only pre-portioned foods delivered to my door—I have always been fascinated how they work for so many people to slim down.
