Body HAYSVILLE – The City of Haysville is looking for a volunteer to fill a vacant board position on the Haysville Planning Commission. The planning commission meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.

Cheney Chamber marks successful Christmas event

Body CHENEY – By all accounts, Cheney’s Come Home for Christmas event the first weekend in December was a huge success. The annual event is hosted by the Cheney Chamber of Commerce, and members noted at their recent meeting that every aspect of the event was noteworthy.

Goddard’s North Park project starts to take shape

Body GODDARD – A new city park north of US-54 Highway is beginning to take tangible form after action at Monday’s city council meeting. The council approved advertising for requests for proposals for architectural services and project management for the park.

Kennedy seeks Fan of the Year vote

Body HAYSVILLE – Voting continues for the NFL Fan of the Year. Haysville resident Kelly Kennedy was named as the Kansas City Chiefs’ fan of the year earlier this season, at the season-opening Thursday night home game against the Detroit Lions.

Titans named to all-district team

Body Members of the Argonia-Attica Titans football team have been named to the 8-Man Division I District 3 all-district team. Leading the way is quarterback Dalton Morrison, a senior who was named to the first team as quarterback.

Lange earns Mac honors

Body McPherson College, a four-year private college located in central Kansas, recognizes its highest academic achievers in its fall 2023 honor roll and honorable mention. Alivia Lange of Conway Springs was named honorable mention.
